01 / Authenticate
A watchmaker authenticates our watches. We also discuss the reference and the documentation available for the individual piece.
Buying and servicing
Before you choose. While you wear.
A considered experience
Buying a watch should leave you pleased with the piece and clear about what you are receiving. We take time to discuss the reference, its condition, how it functions and the accessories that accompany it.
Our watches are authenticated by a watchmaker. Careful inspection and a straightforward conversation help you make an informed choice. If something needs clarification, we address it before you decide.
Each watch follows a careful review, from watchmaker authentication to a discussion of condition, function and the details of your purchase.
Our step-by-step approach
Every watch has its own condition and history. We approach each piece individually and explain the details available to us, so you can judge whether it is the right fit for your expectations.
A watchmaker authenticates our watches. We also discuss the reference and the documentation available for the individual piece.
We carefully inspect each watch and review its condition and functions. Ask us about visible wear, accessories and any details important to your decision.
We want you to feel fairly treated and happy with your purchase. Take the time you need to ask questions, compare details and understand the piece.
Buying and selling
Begin with the watch itself: its reference, proportions, dial and the way it sits on your wrist. We will discuss the individual piece’s visible condition, how it functions, and which box, papers, links or other accessories are included. Availability and pricing are confirmed for the particular watch.
If you are considering selling or trading a watch, share its reference, photographs and the information you have. An initial conversation helps us understand the piece; a concrete offer follows review and inspection.

Polishing and appearance
We offer polishing and can discuss whether it is appropriate for your watch. The starting condition, the original finishes and your preferences all matter. The scope of work and the expected result should be discussed before any work is agreed.
Polishing is a choice, rather than a requirement. Small scratches can show a watch’s life: places visited, days worked, moments enjoyed. Some owners prefer to preserve those signs of wear; others would like a refreshed appearance. We respect both approaches.

Servicing and referrals
If your watch needs servicing or further assessment, tell us what you have noticed and share its brand and reference. We can discuss the next steps and, where appropriate, refer you to selected independent specialists.
The specialist’s assessment determines the work needed. Confirm the proposed work, estimate, timing and any terms directly before authorizing a service. Our referrals are to independent specialists; a referral does not indicate an affiliation with the watch manufacturer.
Wearing your watch
Try wearing the watch just behind the prominent wrist bone, slightly toward the forearm, so it can sit comfortably without pressing into the bend of your hand. The bracelet or strap should feel secure without being tight or restricting normal movement.
Fit is personal and can change during the day. If a watch pinches, presses or feels uncomfortable, adjust the fit or take it off. We can discuss bracelet sizing or help you find an appropriate specialist.

Everyday care
Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for your specific reference when winding, setting, cleaning or wearing the watch around water. Functions and water resistance differ between watches, and the needs of a previously owned piece depend on its condition and service history.
If you are uncertain about a function, a crown position or exposure to water, ask before proceeding. A watchmaker can advise on the particular piece. General care guidance does not replace an individual assessment or guarantee safety or performance.
Care, with context
For a purchase, a polishing enquiry or help finding the appropriate specialist, share the brand, reference and what you have in mind. We will discuss a suitable next step.
